I think I have many of those bad habits and I know is bad for my health but I can't stop it :(
This article shows the mirror to those who are suffering from work pressure and neglecting their personal life and health. In this recession time, many people are suffering from job pressure and long working hours to maintain their position at work. In this struggle or craving to achieve more they are neglecting their family and personal health, and tend to move to unhealthy lifestyle.
I think I hit every bad habit except #6. Sometimes you forget that just resting will be beneficial in the long run because we just can't go on 24 hours non stop!

Losing sleep due to stress at work can be the start of a vicious circle where you lose sleep due to stress at work and then your work suffers due to lack of sleep increasing stress levels further.
I don't have a solution but being aware of the cycle you are in may be the first step to helping yourself...
In the same vein along with #7, I would list #8- Skipping annual vacation- take the time off if you have the option, for sure. Don't over-schedule yourself for the time off, either. Learn how to do nothing. It's hard, but worth it.
So many people neglect sleep when they get busy I'm as bad as anyone else but it's so vital for us to make time to rest.
When you don't get sleep you're work is not going to be nearly as good, which in turn means you have to work even harder again. It's a vicious cycle and only healthy sleep can put a stop to it.
Great tips, I would agree that getting proper rest and being alert and well rested are beneficial for a doctor to do their best work.

Great article, I definitely fall into some of these poor habits while working. Your list is great and people need to take care of themselves and be wary of their health. They should protect their health and their ability to earn an income.

Too much work is definitely not good. If computer workers could watch time lapse footage of themselves sitting hunched for hours clicking away then it it would be quite shocking! All that mouse clicking.
All these bad habits results in heavy amount of stress on the body and mind that further results in horrible diseases. So one must take care of his health first than consider his/her work.
With those seven reasons we add this also, 8) low participation of social life 9) lost love to spend etc........
there are no bad habits...only bad people, or is it the other way around???
